Middle Python Engineer

Fintech project, the purpose of which is to create and maintain banking platforms. Users are bank employees, which is about 10,000.
The platform is used to serve clients of the bank who would like to invest their money in one of Canada’s largest banks.
As a Software Developer, you join the Investment Platforms team and partner directly with Investment Management to help deliver custom technology solutions to support investment research and portfolio analytics. This involves working in the full end-to-end software lifecycle, including assessing requirements, designing application and data architecture, implementation, documentation, test and deployment automation, access control, and support.
Technology set: SQL Server, Pandas, Airflow, Fast API, Python.


  • 3+ years of experience in Python, Fast API,
  • Experience with other frameworks Pandas, Flask, and Dash might be useful,
  • Experience with SQL (TSQL, SQL Queries, etc.),
  • Experience with ETL pipelines,
  • Airflow orchestrator experience – preferably,
  • Experience working with microservices architecture.

    Nice to have experience with:
  • Openshift/Kubernetes/Docker,
  • Capital Market experience/knowledge, MATLAB,
  • Some UI development skills might be useful later on in a project (Dash).Non-tech requirements:
  • Strong communication skills,
  • Understanding of business domain (finance, investments, etc.) would be a plus,
  • Working in SCRUM methodology and tools (Jira, Confluence).


  • Building products for investment teams (such as ETL jobs and data engineering type of work),
  • Ensure faster data access, workflow automation, and following a microservice architecture,
  • Collaborate directly with investment professionals to create custom solutions and tools,
  • Support the Investment Policy and performance investment teams.
