Data/AI Competence Lead
The Data/AI Competence Lead will lead our Data and AI streams within the company and work alongside other Competence Leads and the CTO. Additionally, this person will be involved in various projects for kickoffs, discovery phases, development, and consulting.
Requirements:
- 5+ years’ experience as a Data Engineer/Architect with strong proficiency in Java, Scala, or Python and experience delivering data analytics projects and providing architectural guidelines
- 2+ years’ experience in leadership roles
- Experience working within a consulting business and pre-sales experience would be highly attractive
- Expertise in artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML).
- Experience in developing and implementing AI solutions, including data modeling, model training, and evaluation.
- Experience in big data solutions on premises and on the cloud (Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud) and other cloud vendors
- Batch processing: Hadoop and MapReduce/Spark/Hive/ Apache Beam
- Skilled in working with big data technologies such as Apache Spark, Databricks, and Flink for data processing and analysis
- Familiar with orchestration tools like Apache Airflow for scheduling and monitoring data workflows
- Knowledgeable about data streaming platforms like Apache Kafka, Flink, for real-time data processing
- Experienced in working with data warehouses such as Amazon Redshift or Snowflake for data storage and analytics
- Eexperience working with other data models like data lake/delta lake
- Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI etc.
- Extensive experience in setting up data engineering practices and processes on different projects
- Willingness to familiarise and work with new technologies and approaches
- Experience in evaluating both hard and soft skills of engineers, building effective teams
- Upper-Intermediate spoken and written English.
Responsibilities:
- Involvement on the project on a part-time (50%) basis
- Design detailed technical solutions, conduct in-depth research on potential clients, and audit existing solutions.
- Short-mid term involvement on the projects with the role of Lead Data/AI Engineer for project kickoff, consulting and delivering solutions for technical challenges.
- Development of Data/AI competency in the company :
- Involvement into Presales calls with potential clients and representing Data/AI expertise of the company
- Involvement in Discovery phases and Technical assessments for new projects
- Perform tech interviews for new data / AI engineers and teams, contribute to improving corporate tech interview standards, and focus on continuous professional development
- Assessing promotions of Data engineers and improving promotion process
- Growing Data/AI community in the company by organizing regular syncs and events
- Effective cooperation with CTO and other Leads (Head of Engineering, QA/AQA, UX, BA)
- Maintain a strong understanding of industry trends and best practices
